Healthy Food Choices to Restore and Maintain Good Health

Making healthy choices when it comes to food can seem daunting, especially if you’re used to eating processed or fast food. However, making slight changes in your diet can have an enormous impact on your overall health.

One of the best things you can do for your health is to eat more natural, unprocessed foods. These foods are typically richer in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients that are essential for good health. They also tend to be lower in calories, fat, and sugar than processed foods.

Eating more healthy foods doesn’t mean you have to give up all your favorite dishes. Instead, try incorporating healthy ingredients into your favorite recipes. For example, you can use healthy oils like olive oil instead of vegetable oil or use leaner cuts of meat. You can also add more vegetables to your meals or swap white rice for brown rice.

When choosing to eat meat, chicken, or fish, making a positive shift in your diet to choose a healthier alternative can be monumental in your longevity. Remember, although it might cost a little more in the short term, eating grass fed beef, free range organic chickens and wild caught fish can add years to your life and insure your wellbeing.

Prior to getting cancer (November 2021), I would occasionally eat vegetarian or vegan, sometimes Mediterranean, and often, eat whatever I wanted without even thinking about a healthy choice. But now, a year later, as I sit here writing about the importance of healthy choices, I’ve investigated, learned, and now practice a healthy lifestyle vigorously.

My advice to you is don’t wait until your health is compromised and be proactive. Not only will you feel better, ward off disease, but help reverse diseases like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and aging. It’s not too late, and you’ll last a lot longer and feel better, happier and live the life you dreamed of.

Making healthy choices when it comes to food can be tough, but it’s worth it in the long run. So, start making small changes today and enjoy the benefits of a healthy diet tomorrow.
